Students with disabilities have the same goals as their peers. They want to increase their independence by earning a salary and being independent in the community. The students in a transition-to-work program need a stove to continue their business. Through this work, they are learning valuable work skills that will last them a lifetime. After many years, their current stove has finally burned out. Without the use of a stove, the students can no longer fill orders for their host business. Running their own business teaches them valuable life skills.
