Sensory items will be a great way to provide relief to the students in my classroom that are sensitive to touch, sound, sight and even certain textures. The light table will allow them to play and learn while also getting the sensory input they need from the light. The theraputty will help my students remain calm and provide the sensory experience they want! Sensory items, like stress balls and putty can help with fine motor skills and also help build vocabulary, which helps children to confidently interact with their world and their peers. Focus and attention in the classroom can be difficult for my students and these items will help increase concentration, reduce anxiety and allow children to attend for longer periods of time and focus on a task.
