I plan to use the measuring tools that I'm requesting in a rocket bottle activity. The measuring wheel will be used to measure the distance of the x-intercepts and the altitude measuring tool will be used to find the y-value of the vertex. Students would be allowed to check out the tools if online learning were required. I believe a hands-on activity such as bottle-rockets will increase student motivation to learn quadratics as well as deepen their understanding of ways to apply what they are learning. The tools may also be used in many ways to teach geometry concepts as well.
