The purpose of these items is to enhance my classroom atmosphere AND provide depth and richness to the learning environment. The books requested will add to my classroom library where students can peruse history books in depth on particular topic. The flag will add to the decor and the international flavor of my classroom. The poster frames will house my collection of historical newspapers I've collected over the years. These are all original newspapers from the date of the events- The Death of FDR, End of WWII, Kennedy Assassination, Nixon Resignation, Challenger Disaster, Persian Gulf War, Impeachment of Clinton and 9/11/ 2001. The current frames were cheap to begin with and now falling apart. These items will bolster the sense of adventure and wonder that I try to instill in my students. I travel the world visiting the places I teach about. I also read widely on the deeper topics I teach about- I encourage and try to inspire my students to do the same. Some of the books are all about this. The AP review books are to help my student with test prep.
