Two years ago, my school's Parent Student Group purchased 3 pottery wheels for my students to use during our clay unit. My classes have from 20-28 students. With only 3 wheels, the students only have a few opportunities to work on the wheel to make it fair for all of them to get a chance. Also, I have approximately 150 art students first semester and 150 different students second semester. In a school year, each semester has a clay unit so this will give approximately 300 students more time on the "wheel". Grouping 25 students per 5 wheels (each class) instead of 3 will really make a huge difference.
