Supporting Mental Health & College Prep with Tools and Tech
Funded Oct 17, 2024I am deeply grateful for your generosity in fully funding my project to provide mental health support tools to my high school seniors. Your support means the world to me and my students, especially as they navigate the challenges of their final year of high school.
Thanks to your contributions, I will be able to equip my students with essential resources that promote mental health and emotional well-being. These tools will not only help them manage stress and anxiety but also build resilience as they prepare for life beyond graduation. Your belief in this project will make a lasting impact on their lives.
Thank you again for your kindness and for investing in the future of these incredible young people.”

Hungry for Success
Funded May 22, 2023I would like to extend my sincerest gratitude for your contribution to my students. It may not seem like much, but a small snack between classes can change the course of a student's day. Research demonstrates that children from families who are not sure where their next meal may come from are more likely to have lower math scores and repeat a grade, among other challenges.
Children need nutrients so they can grow, develop and focus on learning instead of thinking about the food they need. Ultimately, they need to be able to concentrate in the classroom so they can succeed in school and be prepared to enter the workforce as adults. Something as simple as a granola bar can often mean the difference between a student's success in a class. My students were grateful to know that people cared enough to make donations to ensure they could be and do their very best. For that, I thank you. We all thank you.”

Food for Thought!
Funded Jan 15, 2023Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity! My students and I genuinely appreciate it. It is important for our children to see community come together in support of one another. Thank you for showing them that their success matters, but more importantly, thank you for showing them that they matter.”

Funded Mar 21, 2022Thank you for your generous donations to the students of MS/HS 223. With your help, we were able to purchase an assortment fidgets and stress release items to support our students' social-emotional and mental health.
Our upperclassmen (seniors) organized an event for students to select a fidget of their choosing. In addition to the impact this small token will have in supporting their ongoing academic success, it also brought about a moment of joy among our students.
It is my hope to be able to continue this initiative, providing support of our students' social-emotional and mental health.”

Neuroscience: Watching the Brain at Play
Funded Feb 9, 2022I just wanted to reach out and provide you with an update around the work we've done thanks, in no small part, to your generous donation. Our students were really engaged in this lab and associated course of study. In addition to completing the Robo-roach lesson and lab activity in class, our students were selected to represent our school in the New York City Department of Education District 7 Science Fair.
They placed 1st in that fair and their presentation earned them a spot in the Borough Science Fair which took place in June. Though they did not place in that fair, they did earn honorable mention. It was truly amazing to witness. Thank you again for your contribution to our class project, which has been an amazing investment in our students' interest in science and beyond.”
