When I am coming up with lesson plans to teach a specific state standard I try to find ways that students will be able to use hands on materials. Usually this ends up being material I print on card stock and laminate. Printing on card stock and laminating educational activities ensure that materials would last multiple years and students would be able to learn using hands on engaging materials. An example of this is for teaching cause and effect I found a game where their was two cards one had the cause (the sun came out) the other card had the effect (the flowers grew). For my students to be able to play this game I had to print it. To make sure that the game could be reused by student's multiple times I had to print it on card stock and laminate it. This would ensure that the game would last multiple years and students would be able to learn using hands on engaging materials.
