Students with special needs need to be able to read, write, and focus without having to worry about their specific disabilities. The purchase of headsets will allow students to listen to books and text, the microphone on the headsets will allow students to write paragraphs, answer questions, and complete research papers without having to focus on using the keyboard, and the fidget balls will allow students to manipulate something in their hand, while staying off their phone, to help them focus on the task. This project will benefit students who read and write below a high school level. students who physically can not type on a keyboard, students who have dyslexia or dysgraphia, and students who struggle with focusing on a task without having to have something in their hand. As a result of this project my students will be able to complete lessons and improve on their reading comprehension skills because they will be able to listen to the books and text. They will be able to write without loosing their train of thought because they are focusing on where the keys are on the keyboard. They can stay focused without being told repeatedly to put their phone down during whole class instruction or discussion.
