Creative Leadership
Funded Aug 12, 2023It is with great gratitude that I am writing this letter. The supplies you helped me purchase for my classroom were very much appreciated. The students in my leadership class were so excited to try out all the craft projects. We are making friendship bracelets to give to the students in other leadership classes. The students feel so accomplished when they complete a bracelet.
The paint by number kits are also being enjoyed by the students. These kits allow the students to be able to just paint and relax, relieving them from the stress that they may feel from core classes.
Some of my students are using the sticker by number books because they don't require artistic talent. The mosaic prints that are the finished product look amazing.
We are planning on using the looms to create drink coasters for the nursing home residents as a Christmas present. We are hoping to take a class field trip to deliver them.”

Funded Nov 14, 2022My students were so excited to get the new cooking equipment and cake decorating supplies for my classroom. I personally am loving how organized my classroom is with the new storage organizers. Food Labs are conducted much smoother now that the students know where everything is located and the ease of being able to find the item they are looking for.
In addition to regular food labs, which all of my 6-8 graders get to participate in at some time during the school year, my other two favorite projects where the students have utilized the supplies are: 1) Cupcake Wars & 2) Cake Decorating STAR Events in FCCLA.
In cupcake wars, the students teamed up and chose a theme and cupcake flavors/designs. The students baked and decorated the cupcakes in class and presented them to judges. It was an educational and very fun project.
In FCCLA, the members can compete in STAR Events. One of these is a cake decorating contest where the students decorate a styrefoam cake round in the theme chosen. Hadlee Denny competed in this contest at the district level and placed 2nd. It was a learning experience and fun time.”

Funded Feb 8, 2022Thank you so much for funding my project. This project has impacted my students tremendously and provided them with many new opportunities. Technology in schools has improved learning because it allows student to access material more easily and at any time. It allows my students to practice their skills at their own pace and on their own time.
Students always love new things, but seeing their faces light up when we receive new materials is always life changing to me. I think the most exciting part is for them to see that someone cared about their learning. It really helped show them how important and valuable learning can be.
All of my students benefited, but of course the students who don't have as easy access to materials were extremely grateful and excited for new supplies and technology. I can't express how thankful I am that you chose to invest in my students. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
