  • Germ Free Play

    Thank you so much for the combination mop/vacuum cleaner you purchased for our room. We use it often. With our carpet taken out and new laminate flooring put in this year, the mop/vacuum has made it easier to keep clean and provide a healthy environment for the kids.

    The kids have taken turns mopping and are excited to use it. It will talk to us and let us know when to change the water or to charge it. They think that is a cool feature!

    Also, thank you for the builders that were purchased. We use them for indoor recess. The kids come up with interesting creations and uses for the manipulatives. They love them!”

  • Growing Through Books and Play: Every Day in Pre-K

    Thank you so much for providing new books and learning manipulatives to our class. The students enjoy building and being creative with the stem builders that have been purchased. We use them daily in our classroom during center time as well as free time. They love the new books that we have. A class set of the Elephant and Piggie series were purchased. These are some of their favorite books.

    When the students first saw the boxes of new materials, they were very curious and excited to see what was inside.

    We will continue to use the new purchases to learn and grow through imagination and play.”

    This classroom project was brought to life by Oklahoma State Department of Education.
My students learn through visual and hands-on activities. Books with engaging, bright, and humorous pictures keep the students interested and entertained, therefore, piquing an interest in reading. My students love the Mo Willems books as well as many other books to be able to learn about different subjects and fun stories. The students love to use their imagination through building and creating. With the various building manipulatives, they will be able to experiment with types of toys to see what new things they can build. By having a few more manipulates in the classroom, we will be able to clean one set while the children play with another. This will help us keep up with Covid-19 cleaning protocols. It will also prolong the life of the manipulatives because of dispersed usage.
