Funded Aug 7, 2024my students have loved having resources available for them to grab when they need them. Thank you so much for the personal needs supplies for my classroom. The resources are housed in a communal storage room, and therefore is available to all of the students at Locust Grove High School. I am so grateful that this project was able to be funded and provide many essential hygiene products for the students. Your kindness and generosity will leave a lasting impression on the students at LGHS. I cannot thank you enough for your support!”

Cool Science
Funded Sep 7, 2023Students have been able to have supplies available for use in the classroom because of this project. My students are grateful for the generosity that has been shown through this project. I have been able to provide them with paper, pencils, colored pencils, kleenex, and small reward tokens like stickers and hard candies. We have used the baskets and bins to organize objects within our classroom and to help our days run more smoothly. This project will continue to serve students beyond this school year. Thank you for all your support.”

'LEGO' Science
Funded Nov 5, 2022This project was able to purchase Legos that I have used in my science classroom. I have used them as ice breaker activities, where students build something and write detailed instructions on how they made their creation. They then traded with other groups and tried to recreate each other's creations. I used this lesson as a segue into talking about how scientists must be extremely detailed in their instructions when conducting experiments, so that other scientists could recreate the same experiment and potentially, the same findings. The Legos have been extremely useful. Thank you for the support!”

From 'Virtual' to 'Reality'
Funded Feb 9, 2022My students have been able to use the Oculus Quest headsets to explore the arctic, as well as to study different ecosystems they otherwise wouldn't get to see. Many students in my area do not have the opportunities to experience things like virtual reality and this project has made that possible for them. I am grateful to be able to provide them with multifaceted learning opportunities, such as the Oculus headsets. The students have expressed their gratitude in the opportunity of having the headsets in the classroom. Thank you for the support!”
