I am an English teacher. My classroom is full of bookcases with books of all types/genres. I have posters on the walls encouraging reading as well as writing. No matter what grade (9-12) I may be teaching, I try to always have a positive attitude and a welcoming environment.
Right now, I am teaching seniors. I have a large classroom with a section to make young adults feel welcome: there is a microwave and a small fridge for those students who are coming in from Tech school and didn't have time to stop for lunch. I keep snacks and water for that same reason. I love my classroom. I figure if I'm comfortable, my kiddos will be too.
