My students enjoy doing Math & ELA centers. The hands-on manipulatives allow them to work at their own pace and be challenged. They are having fun and learning at the same time. As they are working individually or in pairs, it allows me to walk around and help students one-on-one. With the learning materials I have chosen, I will use them with math and phonics centers. The phonics games I chose will review cvc words, rhyming, and other reading games. Flexible seating choices also make student's more independent. During reading time, students are allowed to choose the spot where they get to sit and read quietly. My students love the option of getting to choose their own spot. I also like to use seating for special rewards. I would love to have some floor cushions and pillows to give my students comfortable spots to sit in while they are reading.
