  • Mrs. Chavez's Cozy Seating

    My students have loved using the new chairs and tables I received thanks to you. The tables are bigger than the desks and they really appreciate the extra space. Thanks to you, I am very close to having my classroom be 100% flexible seating. My students always ask if they can move seats just so they can sit at the tables and chairs. When my Leadership students make posters, they extra space truly helps. When they first saw the materials, they were excited because this small thing makes them more comfortable. Being in high school isn't always easy, so having something to sit at other than a desk is a glimpse of comfort. Thank you again for making this possible for my classroom.”

  • Flexible Seating Comforts Students

    Thank you so much for the tables, chairs, and beanbag I received for my classroom. My students were able to start using these resources last May and they love being able to sit in something other than a normal desk. The space allows students to work together on their County Brochure and State Power projects and not be limited by the area a desk gives.

    My students were very excited to see the materials and have loved them this school year as well. They rush to sit in the comfortable chairs and love being able to relax in the beanbag.

    My hope is to eventually transform my classroom from all desks to all flexible seating and your generous contribution made that more possible. Thank you again so much.”

Coming to school and being asked to sit at desks for 50-minute class periods can get boring and cause students to check out. I was able to obtain six tables with different kinds of chairs (some high chairs, some chairs that roll, chairs with padding, etc). My students love these tables and enjoy sitting in them more than desks. I also have four bean bags that students rush into my classroom to get so they are comfortable for the class period. My ultimate goal is to have enough tables and chairs to replace all of the desks in my classroom. COVID has completely disrupted my students' middle school careers so helping them be comfortable at the start of high school is crucial.
