  • Have An Ear For A Book

    Thank you for supporting our classroom! Since we teach Pre-K many student do not read yet. Listening to books on C.D. gives students the opportunity to listen and be exposed to rich vocabulary. My students enjoy exploring new books. They really enjoy when new material is out and it interests them. At the beginning of the year we only had books that came with our curriculum. Now my students are able to pick out stories that they like. We can't wait to read/listen to all the rest of the books! Thank you!”

  • Flexible Brain Classroom

    Funded Feb 8, 2022

    My students and I have been using our flexible seating daily. Specifically during our carpet time. Little minds need to wiggle and our flexible seating helps with that! We do some of our lessons whole group on the carpet. One time specifically is our phonemic awareness time. This is a hard concept so often this takes time. My students love to choose a seat just for them to use. My students were super excited when I brought the new materials in. They kept asking "what's that?" We can't wait to continue to use our new items!”

These books that students can listen/follow along with will give them the opportunity to try out the language and be exposed to an enriched vocabulary. My students are often more engaged when they get to try things out for themselves. These items were picked with my students in mind. My students will have the opportunity to choose what they want to listen to as well as explore their interests. My students often have not learned to read yet. These books will help stimulate their brains to grow and be more active!
