  • The Croissant Machine!

    Our croissants machine has been amazing, the students and I have used the laminator to make beautiful and delicious danishes and croissants.

    My students had no idea why the machine was for until I showed them the steps of how to assemble it and the we made our first batch of croissants and the students were amazed by the precision and how neatly the machine works.

    For next school year I am planning on expanding our bakery and our pastry sales. And my students will be learning how to bake and sale.

  • Do You Smell That? We Need a New Oven!

  • Hydroponics For Chef Students

    The installation of hydroponics systems shows a new horizon for the gardens carried out by the City's schools. It is an innovative, efficient and sustainable method of producing food in urban settings, a technique used to grow plants using mineral solutions instead of agricultural soil.

    The development of hydroponic gardens in schools is part of the School Gardens project carried out by the Green Schools Program of NYC, which promotes the implementation of the garden as a didactic resource for teaching and research.

    Thanks to the hydroponics project, the students know where the food they eat at home comes from, they learn to take care of the crops and to select nutrients, which are added in a solution rich in minerals, and thus they can address different educational contents, through experience and contact with plants.”
