My students are between 6 and 7 years old. It is easier for them to learn from something concrete than a verbal explanation. We have one math standard about measurement, students usually do not understand it if I just hand them a ruler and tell them to measure objects. This measuring tool set will be more interesting to learn with different tools. I also will cooperate other stem items into our center time, which help students to stay focus in learning by building objects that support creativity. I hope that with these new items my students will be able to grow and gain a better understanding of Math and Science.
