Young students learn best when presented with academic material in a variety of modalities. Mandatory quarantines have forced students to learn online. For some students, this is a great fit. But in my experience, students need more opportunities to manipulate material and discuss their thinking with their peers. Funding this project will give my students more opportunities for engagement beyond their Chromebooks. Students will have flexible seating options to use while learning through play. I will be able to continue teaching 3rd grade standards and provide students with fun and engaging learning opportunities.
