To aid my students social emotional learning amid the pandemic, I could use direct social lessons to teach my Kindergarten students social skills. The social emotional learning materials will provide real life examples to my students of how to handle problems, regulate their emotions, learn life skills, and learn how to take action. The books are colorful and engaging, and tell stories that help students apply the skills to their everyday life. The plush toys give students a hands on connection and aid their understanding of the feelings. The educator guides provide me with additional resources on how to best use the materials to enhance my students learning experiences through these materials. My students deserve to have direct instruction to support their social emotional needs, and these products will support my teacher and allow them to have such experiences.
