Due to the pandemic and many parents working from home my students have become familiar with technology but struggle to engage with manipulatives , hands on learning, fine motor activities and cooperative play, The literacy learning games and centers will be used to excite my Pre-K students' eagerness to engage and explore letters, sounds, rhyming, phonemic awareness, word making beginning reading and more during their purposeful play. I will use the items in centers as they play cooperatively with their peers. I will also use them in my small group instruction, distance learning instruction if needed and whole group time. My goal with these literacy learning materials is to create a foundation of learning that will excite and engage my students with hands on experiences as they explore, engage and develop skills to become successful readers and writers with confidence.
