In need of Mixed Media Paper for Crazy Projects
Funded Mar 17, 2024Thank your for your kind donation, with your help we were able to do some great work as you will see in the photos that I will show shortly.
It meant a lot to my students and they were able to create some fantastic color wheels where they have learned how to mix colors from primary colors to obtain secondary and tertiary colors.
Later they did a project that involved creating their own logo. They had a lot of fun doing this project and some of them decided that when they will have their own company they will actually use the logo they created.
Thank you again for your great support.
Sincerely

Missing Essential Materials to Create Great Prints
Funded Nov 8, 2023I can't thank you enough for all the help you have given me and my students, I will upload soon some of the prints my 7 and 8 grade students made and some of the mixed media prints they also did, they were so happy. Before we started the class the majority of them didn't even know what was printmaking, but I can assure you that they loved it. Looking at the results, these results would never have been achieved without your help.
They also learn to mix colors and that was also very important because knowing the theory of color is one thing but getting to mix colors is another.
So a big thank you from all of us to you.

Crayola Markers and Pencils Needed for My Students
Funded May 26, 2022This donation has impacted my students allowing them to do more projects using a new material markers, it was very important for them because they were a little tired of always using pencils. Changing materials has a positive impact especially when teaching because it is considered something new, and in this case even if we were still learning Italian we were doing it by using new tools. All the students were so happy to see that we had made it to get this donation and that people do care about them that they applied themselves in doing nice drawings and writing the words in Italian correctly and with a nice. handwriting.
My students were thrilled! We can't thank you enough for all the great help you have given us by making sure we would get this donation. I had no idea we would even make it. I personally want to thank all of you because it really meant the world to me to get this donation that I never thought would make it!

Learn Italian While Doing Art
Funded Feb 9, 2022I would like to thank you once again for the precious donations received for my classes. This material is helping my students a lot for example my students are always in need of pencils and of sharpening their pencils. And the sharpener we had was broken so they would have to go to another class each time they needed to sharpen their pencil, so that has changed because the students don't have excuses now to go to another room. They are all happy because we have received all the materials we needed to be able to do art work in Italian for at least till the end of the school year.
I have 10 classes that all do art drawing and then explain what they do in Italian, it is very different to just write sentences in Italian and do a drawing and explain what you did. When you explain what you personally did as a drawing each student's drawing gets to be an individual work. Not only that but they pay way more attention when they do something that is of their interest rather than just having to learn all the same things. I have over 200 students at three different level of Italian but all love to draw. They are much more relax when they know that the project we have is a drawing project compared to a google slide document that they have to fill out.
When my students saw the materials they realized that we would continue doing art and write our sentences in Italian, and they were very happy about that. They love drawing and they take much more care when they do the assignments when a drawing is involved. Up to now we have done quite a few projects as for example: draw your dream house and write 3 sentences in Italian about the house; draw your bedroom or your dram bedroom and write 5 sentences about your room furniture; draw 7 symbol that represent 7 of your classes that you have currently in school and explain why you chose those 7 symbols.
The next project I have just assigned is to draw 10 kitchen tools and explain for what you use them for, so students should have 10 sentences written in Italian under each tool. The following project will be draw 10 things you can find in nature and explain what they are by writing 1 sentence for each thing in Italian.
As you can see we have many projects done and we have still a few to go, and between now and the end of the school year I will find more projects for them to draw.
I hope you all like the photos of my students work that I have posted, they are so proud and I am so proud of them for doing such great work, considering they are 6, 7 and 8 graders.”
With gratitude,
