Classroom tables will provide students with opportunities to collaborate with each other, to share and hear a variety of ideas and help students make deeper connections with their classmates as well as the content. We engage in daily social emotional learning lessons, students can feel more confident and comfortable sharing their emotional “zone” at their table. Perhaps the greatest benefit to our Dual Language Learners is that they can discuss a math problem, a short story or a science inquiry in either English or Spanish. The table setting will create smaller communities within our classroom community.
