Amid the pandemic, we have been learning virtually, then in the classroom with numerous restrictions (masks, six feet/three feet apart, and working individually instead of working together), and finally now we are starting to have more teamwork. We are finally able to engage with each other and learn to work together again. The items I chose for our classroom are activities and games that will encourage students to work together, take turns, have conversations, and have fun while learning. They provide my students a variety of activities to have fun and learn about reading, math, social studies, science, social/emotional, and art. As I said before, my students struggle with disabilities that make learning harder. It takes many opportunities and a variety of activities for them to learn. I try to offer different ways to teach the same concept so it does not become tedious and boring, and they will continue to stay engaged. Most of the reading, math, science, and social studies activities are games that students can play together while learning and having fun. I am most excited (and hope my students will be as well) about the “Learn it by Art: Art Integration Math Kit”. I love to integrate as many learning opportunities in one lesson as possible and my students love art.
