Reading is a wonderful way to both expand horizons and to show readers that they are not alone in their experiences. With the struggles that students have faced with the COVID pandemic, I want to expand my classroom library with high-interest books featuring characters who overcome challenges and persevere through adversity. I also want to add books with more diverse characters, so that all of my students can find books in which they can see themselves. Students are allowed to choose their own books and check them out from my classroom library.

About my class
