  • Life Skills in Math Class

    Funded Aug 11, 2023

Thank you so much for your generous donation to my students. It is so encouraging for teachers that the state of Oklahoma uses these funds to directly impact our classrooms and our students. I know that my students will greatly enjoy the use of each and every one of these resources.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Davis

  • Make Math Real

    Funded Feb 4, 2022

Thank you for supporting my classroom

These tools allow my students to have hands on visual tools to support their learning. This is especially important for my English learners who do not have the language to help explain concepts but they can now see them visually to aid their understanding.

Your contributions are greatly appreciated by myself and my students. They will be utilized for many years to help current and future students get a more firm understanding of the concepts they are taught.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Davis

Students receive information in so many different ways. Why should we constrict learning math to what’s on a piece of paper? Using manipulatives and games will allow my students to learn math in a hands-on manner. This helps students who don’t learn well from simply reading or hearing the lesson as well as those that are easily distracted or bored. Being able to see math in action solidifies and reinforces learning. The pandemic has forced students to try to learn from a distance. They are separated from their teachers and their peers by a screen or an appropriate social distance. These games and manipulatives will allow them more interaction with teachers and classmates, helping them to learn not only math, but social skills as well. Instead of spending the class staring off into space or struggling to stay awake, I want my students to be engaged in their learning and to leave math class saying “that was fun!”
