These chairs will be used to give the student a sense that they have a home away from home in my classroom. While it will be used primarily for reading, I can see its effectiveness in giving the students a chance to reflect and pause. My students do not have many opportunities during the school day to feel safe or calm. If they can at least have five minutes to flip through a book and consider bringing it home, then that is mission accomplished for this teacher. Thanks in advance!
