Since the pandemic hit, my students are learning at several different levels. As a teacher I have gained attention that some children are finishing their work within a timely manner and some are needing more teaching and just more time to get the work done. With imaginative stem bins, those learners who are finishing before others would have something educational to utilize. I think this would cut down on misbehaving for those students who are done but don't know how to stay engaged into something else until class is over. Furthermore, stem bins would help my students to extend their knowledge on different content that we have learned in class. For example, using the quest virtual reality googles, they would be able to go and see different ecosystems that we are learning about and gain a better knowledge of how that system works together. During our unit on Earth spheres they could create different dioramas of depicting the content that makes up that sphere and then show how each one interacts with each other. With these stem bins we would also be able to split the class up into smaller groups to utilize more space during Covid to keep the students safe and still able to do hands on activities in class. I also believe stem bins with help my students to gain a better understanding of the content that I teach them by kinesthetically learning along with the other styles of learning that I use in my classroom.
