Funded Nov 2, 2022Thank you so much for your generous donation! The materials that you have provided me with has allowed me to bring a little more life to the classroom! I remember all of the boxes coming and the the suspense built within my students. While unboxing, I had a talk with my students about how we obtained these new items for our classroom.
Their eyes lit up with excitement as they saw all of the flexible seating options being unboxed and put together! After receiving all of those materials, we had a class discussion on how we would treat these materials and the impact they can have of the environment of our classroom. My students love having the flexibility of choosing their seating each day and changing it up based on their mood!
Something else that was on the list that has made an impact on my room is our colored printer! One of the very first things I did for my students was have a "Starbooks" day. I was able to print menus and flyers and different things to pull the day together. Starbooks day is essentially a book tasting. I had tables set up with different genres at each table and they took turns rotating between the tables and sampled the books while sipping on hot chocolate and eating bakery items. It was a big hit.
Our project we are currently in is our design your own state project. They have been working hard developing their own state. Next week, they will be designing a brochure enticing people to visit their state. With my colored printer, I will be able to bring their designs to life!
So thank you, there are no words to describe how thankful I am for these wonderful materials!”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Mullins
