  • Let's Have Fun Reading!

    Funded Aug 12, 2023

Thank you for finding my grant. It has really helped my students with falling in love to read. Reading is an essential part of life. Students first learn to read so later on they can read to learn.

Everyone must know how to read to succeed in life. During Covid so many students lost out on core reading instruction and have fallen below state guidelines. The books and games have allowed my students to learn to read so they can read to learn.

My students and I are forever grateful for your generous donation to my grant.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Bayliss

  • Tech Will Help Us Learn!

    Funded Nov 4, 2022

Thank you for funding my project. The iPad and apple pencil have been useful to my students, as well as myself. My students are able to use the apple pencil and trace their name, letters, and words on the iPad, all while working on proper pencil grip mechanics. I have started to see improvement in some of my students fine motor skills. I have also been able to use the iPad and apple pencil during individualized education plan (IEP) meetings. Parents, teachers, and admin are able to sign on the iPad using the apple pencil. This way I am printing off less paper. Thank you for donation it is much appreciated.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Bayliss

  • Easel-y Excited to Learn!

    Funded Feb 7, 2022

Thank you for funding my project. The items have been so beneficial to my students. They really love writing sight words on the dry erase board. My vision impaired students say it is easier for them to see spelling words, sight words, or any work that we do on the board. My students have also loved sitting on the wobble chairs and moving their bodies while still learning. The double sided dry erase board can be used for weekly spelling words, sight words, and daily work. It can also be used on one side with the lines to help students learn to write in between sentence lines. My students love to use magnets on the board and then write their spelling words and sight words.”

    With gratitude,

Having a double sided teaching easel will make it easier for my vision impaired students to see. I can manipulate the easel around where it is better fitting for the vision impaired students, as well as my other students. The wobble chairs give the students the opportunity to work at their tables but also move their bodies as needed to help focus. The easel would allow me to display visuals that would make it easier for my students to see and understand. This easel is double sided, one side is magnetic and the other side is lined like paper. This would enhance proper writing skills and literacy skills. The easel has plenty of storage for teaching materials as well. Therefore, the easel can be used in all learning experiences throughout the day and will strengthen in person learning as well as distance learning.
