Create Your Own Mummy: Mummified Apples in Canopic Jars
Funded Sep 20, 2024I cannot tell you what this meant to our kiddos! Not only did they receive the supplies to complete their project but they also got a free snack out of it. They were so excited to see the boxes of supplies roll into our classroom. They were even more excited to learn that they would be mummifying an apple after learning about Ancient Egypt.
Many of our students and families face hardships, especially during the holiday season. Having supplies to do fun projects is a huge weight off their shoulders.
The next steps for this project is to prepare our tri-folds for showcase night! I cannot wait to show the entire school community the great projects we created. Our mummified apples would have not happened without your help!”

Ms. Torres

Funded Aug 15, 2024We have had our supplies for a few weeks now and it has been a huge help. Our school has experienced cuts in funding and access to supplies has been a major issue across our campus. However, thanks to your support, my students have not had any problems receiving necessary supplies like scissors, glue, paper, and tissue. It makes a huge difference within our community and we are forever grateful.
Currently, the kids have been creating an interactive notebook for history that houses visual aids, maps, graphic organizers, and even art! Students will now be able to explore color print outs of Egyptian, Chinese, Greek, Roman, and Chinese art. It is my hope that these pops of color create engaging lessons that will promote student success! Thank you again for being on our team and supporting us!”

Funded Jan 15, 2024We have had our color printer for two weeks now. The kiddos decided the printer needed a name. She is a lady named Big Mamba Jahamba who unexpectedly became a classroom pet. Can you tell I teach 11 and 12 year olds?
We have used this technology to create various engaging activities. In January, we started with vision boards to focus the students' efforts towards their ideal future. The class made unique vision boards on Google Slides then printed them out in color! We then posted them around the classroom and inside their notebooks. This has added a pop of color and personalization to our learning space.
