We need additional resources and materials to help our students catch up from the COVID Learning Loss. They spent too much time distance learning, which had a negative effect on their retention and learning of standards. We need hands-on materials and supplies to help bring them back up to grade level. We also have a large SPED population that need a different approach to learning and accommodations to help them access the general curriculum. We are seeing huge losses in all grade levels from COVID and we must do something to help. The alternative seating with help with emotional wellness, students with sensory issues and adhd. The supplies will help with the extra amount of work that we are doing after school and in the summer to master standards. Students will use these resources to work in alternative seats, to learn Utah state standards for math such as telling time, counting money, and mastering dynamic and static addition and subtraction. Students will also be able to work on social emotional wellness through story telling and illustrating. Students will be able to master place value using the graphing paper to set up addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division problems.
