This project will hopefully open up the understanding of each 7th grader to see Black History as American History. With the resources that I have chosen and a scheduled field trip to Greenwood Rising (a museum dedicated to Tulsa's historic Black district) I truly hope and pray that students of all races and cultures will understand that color and race really should not divide but make us even stronger as communities and people. Through teaching resources, classroom books, videos, virtual learning tools and discussion and open dialogue the students will engage in Black History that is OUR History.
