As a result of the ongoing pandemic, I see students who do not have the same love for reading as they use too. Students are behind on their reading, and it is something that is difficult for them to do. My students have not seen a normal school year. Most students come into school ready to learn, but maintaining that readiness throughout the day is a real challenge. While other students are so anxious about what is going to happen at school or about something going on at home. To help ease some of the lack of reading readiness I would like to have new books for them to read.
