Period With Confidence
Funded Jan 1, 2025I am incredibly grateful for your support in providing period products to the young girls in my middle school classroom. Your generosity has made a profound difference in their lives and has helped create a more inclusive, supportive, and empowering environment.
Access to period products is vital for many of my students, some of whom struggle to meet this basic need due to financial or logistical barriers. By having these products readily available, my students no longer need to feel embarrassed, unprepared, or distracted during the school day. This small but significant change ensures that they can focus on their education, build their confidence, and feel comfortable participating in all aspects of school life.
Beyond providing essential supplies, I've also integrated these products into my hygiene talks during our Social Emotional Learning (SEL) days. These discussions offer a safe space for students to learn about menstrual health, break down stigmas, and ask questions they might not feel comfortable discussing elsewhere. With the period products as a practical resource, I've been able to demonstrate proper use and emphasize the importance of self-care, helping students feel more prepared and empowered to manage their health.
The availability of period products has helped normalize conversations around menstrual health, which is crucial for fostering a supportive and informed community. Girls in my classroom now know they have access to what they need without judgment or shame, and it's been heartening to see how this has boosted their confidence and sense of security.
Your contribution is more than just a donation—it is a statement of care and support for young girls who are navigating an important phase of their lives. By addressing this basic need and incorporating it into our SEL curriculum, you've helped equip these students with the knowledge, tools, and confidence they need to succeed both in and out of the classroom.
Thank you for being part of this important mission and for making a real difference in the lives of my students. Together, we are helping to create a brighter, healthier, and more equitable future for all.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Jaye
