Thank you so much for helping to fund this project! My students will greatly appreciate the opportunity to learn in new ways and experience our learning environment with these items in mind, and I appreciate being able to provide them with a classroom that supports their learning thanks to you!”
With gratitude,
Ms. M
This classroom project was brought to life by Panda Cares and one other donor.
Because of COVID-19, my students’ learning environment over the past two years has shifted to include outside influences that would normally be minimized. The impact of this shift has resulted in a change in how students interact with each other and in their classroom learning place. Other means of engagement that worked in the past have changed to make students more active in their learning, and my students in particular have seen the most impact in learning through modeling, whether 2D or 3D.
The materials I requested in this campaign focus on two primary needs my students have: extra storage space for dioramas/projects made possible through storage solutions and shelving; and diagramming/graphic organizing space through whiteboards. These items will help students overall in having the capacity to complete more complex and detailed hands-on experiences that they did not have the opportunity to grapple with over the past two years.
Additionally, some of the resources requested will allow students more freedom to choose where they are able to be successful in our learning environment - the bed risers will allow me to transform regular desks into standing desks, the class set of clipboards will allow students to work anywhere in the classroom when we make graphic organizers and one-pagers, and the surge protectors will allow more flexibility when working with their school-issued Chromebooks.
