The use of calculators in my class and while the students are at home is a daily activity. Due to the pandemic stretching for multiple years, students have shared their need for the use of calculators in the classroom and also, when quarantined, at home. My students do not all have access to state of the art calculators. I am creating a class set so that every kid can learn to use the best calculator possible for chapter and state tests. Test outcomes for students improve when they have access and know how to use calculators. My goal is to have calculators so all the students in my classes can have a calculator to use and get comfortable with before they take state and later in their schooling, college entrance exams.
