  • A Rainbow of Possibilities!

    My littles love to create! So these materials have really helped them to be imaginative in their play! They absolutely love to build castles and towers. When using the paints they are so creative with their colors and tools. We work on shape sorting and fine motor skills when using the shape sorting box and lacing beads. We use the LED tablets to practice writing letters and names.

    When our boxes arrived my students thought it was Christmas. They were so excited. Everyone got help open and explore what was inside. Many items were opened and played with that day, just because we were so excited!

    In the spring I do a lesson on animals and I would love to hatch eggs (Chicken or ducks) in an incubator in our classroom. I believe the kids would have so much fun watching them grow and hatch. This would be a great learning experience for them.”

When students are able to engage in their learning and have hands on experiences, I feel they learn better. There are many ways to teach. But every child learns different and we have to teach to the child not the class. Learning should be fun and exciting! Students should not be sitting at desks all day doing worksheets. Science and Social Studies is meant to be experienced! These things already have a purpose and my students are excited to get to use them!
