Thank you so much for the gift of learning centers for my Kindergarten classroom. We will

Enjoy the light table for math and science activities. The writing table will be used daily for writing, stamping and drawing activities.

My students will enjoy these new learning centers for years to come!”

  • Our Kindergarten Meeting, Learning, and Working Space

    Funded Mar 1, 2022

This beautiful, big carpet has made such a huge difference in our circle time! We have room to spread out and room to work together. The rug is big enough that we can all work on our math tubs at the same time. The circles on this rug has been perfect for each child to have their own spot to sit.

When we have show and tell the kids can sit around the edge of the carpet and pass the show and tell around for each to see. Whole group activities with my students has been so much easier since we now have room for everyone to participate.

We will enjoy this rug for years to come!

Thank you so much for being so generous and donating to our classroom.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. McCurley

I can not believe this just happened! Too beyond excited!

I can't wait to use these tables in my classroom. My kids will be so excited! They desperately needed a place to work together and socialize. Now they will be able to do lots of hands on learning and collaboration!

    Thank you!”

As a Kindergarten teacher, we are seeing a decline in collaboration and socialization skills in our youngest learners due to distance learning and social distancing. In Kindergarten teamwork, socializing, cooperation, collaborating and sharing are very important skills. Currently in our classroom we have big desks, that do not allow for collaboration. We have desks that are too tall for our little learners. My kids are having to stand or sit up on their legs to reach needed supplies and sometimes our desks tend to tip over with a student and they get hurt. Students learn better when they are comfortable and able to use their supplies easily. When sitting at a table students are able to collaborate with each other while participating in hands on learning. They are able to share supplies, socialize cooperate with each other. Those skills are some of the most important skills for early childhood. Kindergarten students need a space where they can collaborate, share supplies and be able to work cooperatively with each other. Tables will also allow for us to be able to be at the right height to learn cutting skills and learn important handwriting skills. We have been struggling every day with our big kids desks. We need a space to work and collaborate on projects together. As well as having a space for me to sit down next to a student and help with learning to hold a pencil and use scissors. I believe that tables will help my students be able to learn all those important life skills they need in early childhood. I am anxious to bring socialization and collaboration back to Kindergarten!
