My student come from a low-income households, 85% of them are Latinx, 10% African American, and 5% other races. Your donation will give my students the opportunity to learn self-regulation strategies and be able to focus during academic time. They will use the different materials to make friendship bracelets, deep breathing exercises, and journaling. My students will use the different scenarios in the Social Emotional cards to practice their social skills around the different school settings. The playdough will help my students to regulate by using it as a sensory tool to manage their emotions.
