I teach a first grade class but I have children who come in for a leveled reading class from 1st grade to 4th grade. I want to have my classroom be safe place not just for book learning but for hands on and a creative growth process. These manipulatives ( blocks, games, figurines, chalk, toys) will give them a hands on chance to use what they have learned in the classroom. Many of my children lack in the social/sharing department due to the area they have been raised in as well as the time out of the classroom due to Covid. I will use these items to teach them how to play well together while still expanding their knowledge base. I want to build them a safe space of learning. Children learn through hands on activities which is what I am trying to promote.
