  • Success in the Science Classroom

    My students are really appreciative of the donation to our science department! The goggles are very well constructed and comfortable. The kids actually keep them on without complaining! The ninth grade students will soon get to utilize the batteries in a fun competition of electromagnet engineering! My underprivileged students are quietly appreciative of the binders that other kids take for granted. This small gesture really equalizes the playing field for them and I am so grateful.   • Grab Your Goggles! COVID Safe in the Chemistry Lab

    Thank you so much for providing a safety goggle sanitizer for our chemistry students! We can get back to DOING science again safely. This will allow us to quickly treat our set of goggles in between every class with high energy ultraviolet light to kill germs that spread infectious diseases.”

    This classroom project was brought to life by Oklahoma State Department of Education.
Chemistry just isn't chemistry without laboratory experiments such as chemical reactions, stoichiometry, flame tests, and acid base titrations. Chemical splash goggles are a must for any chemistry laboratory. If we had a UV sanitizing goggle cabinet we could safely return to the chemistry lab. After each class period, high energy ultraviolet light will sanitize our Safety Goggles by killing the bacteria and viruses that cause pinkeye, the common cold, influenza, and even COVID-19! If we were to get a goggle sanitizer, my students can safely conduct chemistry labs again! This would have such a big impact on their learning. For example, they could make mini Hydrogen Fuel Cells by reacting hydrochloric acid with zinc, then react the hydrogen gas with oxygen to form water vapor and send their mini rockets across the room! This would only be safe if we had sanitized goggles to protect their eyes and prevent the spread of infectious diseases. Please fund our project so my students can return to DOING chemistry!
