At my school, I teach my class music once a week. Let me just say, watching Youtube videos to sing along with is no longer cutting it. I have really wanted to bring in items like juggling scarves, egg shakers, and Boomwhackers to make music time much more enjoyable! With these items they will be able to discover movement, rhythm, and musical notes. Music Time will surely be more enriching! My students also need more engaging tools as they learn and practice phonics, spelling, and sight words. Items like the magna-doodles, invisible pens, and the Doodle Boards will be sure to grab their attention and motivate them to practice and learn. I have also selected books that I will need in the coming months to spark a love of reading in their hearts and minds. Other items like erasers and fidget toys will reward my students as they continue to strive to be kind and respectful at school. The magnetic building sticks will be used to spark creativity and engineering as they work together to build structures and statues for various tasks.
