The classroom library is one of the most important aspects of a classroom and its environment. The library can provide students the opportunities to escape the real world and dive into a world of imagination, adventure, excitement, and so much more. In light of COVID-19, my students' chances to immerse themselves in a good book has been put on the back burner. Students are more concerned about their well-being and not picking up a new book to read. My hope is that these new and exciting books will reignite their passion to read and will help build the fundamentals they need to succeed in third grade, but also the many grades to come. Third grade is a crucial year for reading and having books that are exciting and new to my students will encourage them to resume their love of reading or even build a new love of reading. Every day, I see my students go to my current library to pick out a new book but find that my books are not the most current and exciting books for third grade and their age level. The books I have chosen are ranked some of the best among third graders and are recommended to me daily by my students.
