My students are being raised in a supporting but very poor rural community. They are isolated with the closest town being 45 minutes away. They are wonderful students who are curious and inquisitive but do not have an opportunity to experience the world outside of their town. They work hard and know that school can be a way of improving their lives and that of their families.
