Students have not had the opportunity to be active and play with their peers as much as they have in the past years. This will allow them to learn new games as well as the value of teamwork, all while being active with their friends. Having new equipment will motivate the children and help me as a teacher to come up with new, creative, and more effective ways to be healthy. Our basketballs are old and we are in need of new ones to allow students to learn teamwork as well as fine motor skills. The cross-curricular lesson can teach both physical activity and shapes within one lesson. The other materials ordered will be used to replace old, worn-out PE toys for our children to learn and be active. COVID-19 has emphasized the need for physical activities and healthy bodies. Students will learn these skills in a fun, new ways.
