As a teacher in a pandemic, there are many tasks to manage every day. I usually have multiple windows open on my laptop to show all of the information I need at once from my grade book to Canvas to Google Drive and more. It gets even more difficult when I’m displaying additional windows on my projector. Flipping between windows makes me feel scattered and can keep me from maximizing my planning time and class time. This smart monitor would also make me a more effective online teacher during school closures because I would be able to view all of the windows and apps I need open while I teach online. Because this monitor has airplay capability and will work with my phone, I will be able to control my screen from my phone and be more free to move around my classroom and keep my students engaged while I teach. It also has Bluetooth, so I my students would be able to project from their chrome books to my monitor to the projector to show off presentations and other projects. This technology will make me a more dynamic teacher, and it will save me the resource that is most precious to teachers today—-time.
