I do, We do, You do is a teaching technique that provides scaffolding through whole-class instruction. The use of whiteboard clipboards and dry erase pens will be used for instruction and can be used for immediate feedback to facilitate my instruction. By quickly having the students demonstrate their work, I can see where there are holes in my instruction and who is and who is not understanding the concept being taught. I can then adjust my instruction to meet the needs of the class as I go. The dry erase boards can be used at the desks, on the rug, or in small groups. Students can demonstrate understanding and their focus will be improved. This will, in turn, increase student success. The dry erase pens will be used on the clipboards. The organizers will hold the dry erase pens and other markers to be used on the lined paper. The headphones will be used to differentiate individual instruction in mathematics and language arts.
Differentiating instruction for each and every student is vital because of the loss of key foundational academic and social-emotional concepts in light of COVID-19. In order to provide student success academically, as well as, social-emotionally, I need to instruct students using hands-on and differentiated instruction. Using posters to demonstrate learning in the classroom, as well as the dry, erase boards, students can enjoy success in our classroom community.
Students will be able to demonstrate their understanding and feel pride by getting immediate feedback in the classroom community.
