With the ongoing pandemic, my students have a great desire to connect with others. Providing a variety of group activities in fun and engaging ways will give them more opportunities to connect with each other. My students will improve their basic history and geography skills while playing these games together. These Ticket to Ride games and other USA and geography games will give them opportunities to connect not only the trains and transportation systems of the past, but also connect with each other during these fun and educational group games. It will also give them a break from other types of classroom instruction and allow them to practice and improve their skills and knowledge together, as well as their social skills as they interact with each other.
