The CDC recommends that students get at least 60 minutes of physical activity each day. During the pandemic children were less likely to be active. This playground equipment including balls and jump ropes will encourage students to be active at recess. The STEM materials will encourage creativity and problem solving. The legos, pop-its and building toys are great activities for engineering and math. Students will work in groups when using these materials which helps them learn to get along with others and cooperate. Incentives for the classroom motivate students to work hard. Students love to work for prizes such as play dough, gel pens, wristbands, and candy. I am also requesting cardstock for students to use while creating books during writing. An electric pencil sharpener is essential in every elementary school classroom. I am also requesting a wireless control clicker. This will enable me to move around the room while teaching using powerpoint presentations. These are all things I would have to purchase with personal funds. Thank you Donors Choose!
