  • Dream in Color

    Funded Aug 23, 2024

Thank you so much for your amazing donations towards art and cleaning supplies for my classroom. The art supplies has motivated my students to engage more during the lessons. It has also motivated the students to create art, promote imagination and allow for natural exploration for children.

I used the cleaning supplies daily to wipe down the desk and chairs in the classroom. A clean classroom helps minimize the spread of germs, which therefore keeps the children from being absent from lessons and important instruction.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Shishkoff

  • Cooking In The Kitchen.

    Funded Aug 2, 2023

Thank you your contribution to our school program Cooking in the Classroom.

Your generosity has supported our initiative tremendously.

My students absolutely love the Blender! We used it during our after school enrichment class to make healthy meals and smoothies. We created Project Based activities centered around healthy eating and cooking.

We also invited the community into our Indoor Garden during weekend cooking classes. The parents are able to learn about healthy cooking choices for them and their children.

The goal is prioritize food education. Your donation is a huge step in that direction.”

  • A Garden Grows in a New York City Classroom

    Funded Jan 26, 2023

The indoor school garden impacted my students greatly. They were excited and overwhelmed when they saw all the materials being delivered and set up. Your amazing donation allowed the students the opportunity to participate in hands on learning that teaches not only the intended subject but also responsibility, teamwork, and respect for nature, others and themselves.

Every week they took care of the plants.

All the produce that was harvested went to the students, school and neighboring community as donations and giving back.”

    With gratitude,

  • Winter Recess Goody Bags

    Funded Feb 7, 2022

My students were so excited and grateful upon receiving the indoor recess materials.

They were cheering and jumping around when they saw all of the boxes and recess materials that the class received.

My students were able to each make their own baggy which included markers, origami paper, fidget spinners, a mini notebook and BBC ok or full click pen. By making the baggies on their own allowed for the students to be independent and show responsibility.

The students were excited to bring the baggies down to recess on the first rainy day. They were able to use their wonderful art supplies for indoor recess entertainment. Thank you so much for supporting my classroom and my students. I am truly gratfeful.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Shishkoff

Students love outdoor recess as they get to run and play outdoors. Unfortunately due to the New York City winter weather, outdoor recess is limited. Students then have to remain in the auditorium for indoor recess and complain that they get bored watching movies. Having individual indoor recess goody bags will allow for the students to be entertained during their lunch period. The recess bags will be filled with fun items like fidget spinners, sketch pads, colorful writing tools, coloring mandalas and markers. The children will have fun creating and playing with these items indoors.
